Can I get a Texas title and plates for your trailers?
Yes. Every trailer comes from a manufacturer registered with NHTSA and has a 17-digit VIN, a federal safety (FMVSS) certification label and a Manufacturer's Certificate of Origin. These are the documents the county tax office asks for when you title and register a new trailer. We give you the VIN before delivery so you can check it on NHTSA's free VIN decoder.
Will the trailer pass the Houston Health Department inspection?
We build to the Houston mobile food unit checklist: a 3-compartment sink with drainboards, a separate hand sink, hot and cold running water, a fresh water tank of at least 30 gallons and a waste tank at least 15% larger. Your permit also depends on your menu and equipment, so we review your plan with you before we build.
Who installs the fire suppression system?
Trailers that cook with grease need a fire suppression system under the hood. It is installed, or inspected and tagged, in Houston by a Texas-licensed fire protection company before delivery.
How long does it take?
Most trailers take 30 to 50 days to build, plus about 30 to 40 days for shipping, customs and final work in Houston. Plan on roughly 2 to 3 months from order to delivery.
How do payments work?
Nothing is paid before you approve a written build sheet and sign a contract. The deposit and the payment schedule are written in your contract. Payments go only to FASTX LLC's business bank account.
Can I see my trailer before it ships?
Yes. We send photos and video of your finished trailer, including the water, power and lights working, before it leaves the factory.
What electrical setup do the trailers have?
US-standard 120V or 120/240V, 60 Hz wiring with UL-listed parts and a 50 amp shore power inlet for a generator or site power. Coffee models can have a dedicated 240V circuit for an espresso machine.
Do you deliver outside Houston?
Trailers are delivered in Houston. We can arrange transport to other Texas cities for an added cost.
